1970 Founded by Luigi Giussani as BEST (Bayerische Elektrostahlwerke GmbH)
1972 Starting of operation: planned production: 300,000 t/year
1976 Renamed Lech-Stahlwerke GmbH (LSW); Aicher KG buys a 5% stake in the company
1988 Participation of the Federal Land of Bavaria; increase of Aicher Group share to 11%
1989 Foundation of our subsidiary Lechsped GmbH
1990 Foundation of our subsidiary Lech-Stahl Veredelung GmbH & Co.KG
1992 The Aicher family becomes main shareholder of LSW with a 80% share
2005 The Aicher family becomes sole shareholder of Lech-Stahlwerke GmbH
2005 Takeover of all shares of Lech-Stahl Vertrieb GmbH by LSW
2006 Foundation of Aicher CARGO GmbH as a subsidiary of Lechsped GmbH
2009 Takeover of Stahlveredelung Landsberg GmbH of (participation at 50%) as well as takeover of 94% of shares of Max Aicher Recycling GmbH
2011 100% takeover of Stahlveredelung Landsberg GmbH , foundation of B&A Metallaufbereitungs-GmbH, takeover of 25% of shares of Brandmayr & Co. Entsorgungs GmbH
2012 Merger of Lech-Stahl Veredelung GmbH & Co. KG and Stahlveredelung Landsberg GmbH into LSV Lech-Stahl Veredelung GmbH
2014 Foundation of the Max-Aicher-Stiftung
2016 Opening of the Lech-Stahl Akademie, the training center of the LSW-Group
