With 40 years of successful presence on the international market the Lech-Stahlwerke GmbH represents the only steel manufacturing company in Bavaria. It is part of the Max Aicher Group with seat in Freilassing in south-eastern Germany. Altogether the Lech-Stahlwerke has produced up to now more than 21 million tons of steel.

Aside from the location in Meitingen where the Lech-Stahlwerke is present together with its subsidiaries, the shipping agency Lechsped GmbH (LSP) and the sales office for reinforcing steel bars Lech-Stahl Vertrieb GmbH (LSB), there is the branch company Lech-Stahl Veredelung (LSV) about 25 km north in Oberndorf.
