The employees of the Lech-Stahlwerke GmbH take good care of quality and are dependable and flexible in their work. For 40 years high quality steel has been produced out of iron scrap. Many people in the region are bound to our company. It is not seldom to find people of different generations in the same family that have worked or work for LSW. Long term connection to the company for employees is a characteristic of this only Bavarian steel plant. In the course of the last years the demands of the steel industry on its employees have grown to be very exacting. Computer-controlled production procedures require a certain degree of know-how and the mastering of diverse software programmes. The complex production chain makes a deep understanding of the characteristics of high-grade and reinforcing steel grades essential and the comprehension of their different application fields cannot be done without. Our long-standing experience with steel as well as several innovative research projects with external companies makes out the basis of our success. Metal experts, engineers, electronic and computer specialists, process mechanics, auditors, natural scientists, all work together every day at the development of our steel products.
Our employees bring their suggestions and their contributions to us – we invest for our part in training and further schooling for our employees. At present the Lech-Stahlwerke offers an occupation to 32 trainees. The steel industry represents especially for young people the possibility of good jobs with a future.
