For all health matters there is at LSW a Medical Care Department at the disposal of our personnel. In spacious and well equipped rooms our doctor and its two assistants take care of our employees in all health and safety problems.
The equipment of our Medical Care Department consists, among other things, of an ECG machine, eye test apparatus, perimeter, audiometer and aeroplethysmograf. For special examinations we cooperate with a radiologist and a laboratory for blood and urine tests nearby.
New ambulance
The ambulance, that was purchased in 2009, makes it possible to reach in short time injured or sickening workers. In this way essential medical care can be provided at once and worse consequences avoided. The ambulance is equipped with an emergency radio that enables to take up contact with the public Rescue Service in case specific units, such as the emergency doctor, ought to be alarmed.
The following services are being currently offered also to external companies in our Medical Care Department:
Preventive measures, for example distribution of skin protection creams, adjustment of corrective protection eye-glasses and first-aid courses
Emergency medical care in case of accidents or severe sudden sickness
Organisation and carrying out of typical work-related examinations
Counselling in case of reintegration of long sick colleagues and work place organisation
Internal addiction counselling in collaboration with external agencies
