In the finishing shop our billets and bars undergo a whole range of high-tech tests and controls.
Our services include heat-treatments, straightening, sand-blasting, chamfering, identity checks, surface crack-testing, core ultrasonic testing, bundling and preparing for shipment according to the specific customers’ requirements.

We have four separate straightening and proofing lines for billets and steel bars.

Anti-mixing controls:
  • Eddy current test(Förster Magnatest DH)
  • Spectrometry (spectro-test, Belec Compact Port)

Cross-section and internal defect controls:

 Ultrasonic testing (Karl Deutsch Echograph 1155 STPS & KNPS)

Surface crack-testing procedures:
  • High energy stray flux test (Förster Circoflux DS)
  • Eddy current test (db Prüftechnik Eddychek 4)
  • Thermographic test (Förster Billet Inspect IR)
Heat treatment:

Four furnaces bogie hearth furnace and batch furnace) for several types of heat-treatment and various bar lengths up to 12.5 meters.
